These Terms of Use govern your use of equen, an iOS app operated by Kodai Hiradate. By using equen, you agree to these terms and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies to the app.
1. What equen provides
equen provides tools to prepare for, rehearse, and reflect on workplace conversations. AI-generated counterpart responses and feedback are simulations intended for practice. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular situation.
equen does not provide legal, medical, mental-health, human-resources, or employment advice. You remain responsible for what you say, the decisions you make, and compliance with your employer's policies and applicable law.
2. Acceptable use
You may not use equen to violate law, harass or discriminate against another person, make automated employment decisions, create covert records of real meetings, reverse engineer the service, disrupt its operation, or attempt to bypass access controls.
Do not enter information you are not authorized to use. Avoid unnecessary sensitive personal information and confidential employer information.
3. Subscriptions
equen may offer auto-renewing monthly and annual subscriptions through Apple's App Store. The price and billing period shown before purchase control your transaction. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge your account within 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Purchases are subject to Apple's billing, refund, and cancellation policies.
4. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, including to maintain security, legal compliance, or service quality. Internet access and supported Apple hardware and software may be required for some features.
5. Intellectual property
equen and its original design, software, and content are owned by Kodai Hiradate or the applicable licensors. These terms grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app under Apple's license terms.
6. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, equen is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that AI output will be accurate or that use of the app will produce a particular workplace outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Termination
You may stop using equen at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risk, or a legal requirement. Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
